The single tower Coker shown here was detailed in 2005. It was an addition to the current double tower which was detailed back in 2001. The single tower came in at over 1,200 ton and was detailed using Tekla structures.

Although the lower level is somewhat basic, the cutting deck area consisted of very unique connections, some using 2” thick plate material. Tying in these two towers was also challenging as there had to be many site measurements, these were supplied by our on-site detailers. M&D Drafting Ltd is set to start our third Coker which will be weighing well over 3,000 ton.
